The Northern Rivers is the unofficial region that covers the main town of Tweed Heads, Byron Bay (Australia’s most eastern point), Lennox Head, Evans Head, Kingscliff, Yamba and Ocean Shores, and it’s just over the border between Queensland and NSW: All these areas are perfect to elope or hold a small wedding. The northern Rivers is a slower pace to the Gold Coast, but you’ll still find plenty to do with health tourism high on the list, hobby farms, national parks and reserves, mountains to climb and shops in cute out of the way villages.
